চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ জেলার সদর উপজেলায় মহানন্দা নদী ড্রেজিং ও রাবার ড্যাম নির্মাণ প্রকল্প (২য় সংশোধিত)
Details

Objectives of the Project         : 

  • Increase flow/ drainage capacity of Mohananda River.
  • Increase availability of water for irrigation purpose in small scale during post-monsoon. Net incremental benefit from agriculture production is Tk.5583.65 Lakh per year.
  • Improve environmental condition of Mohananda River basin area.
  • Restore navigability of Mohananda River.
  • Improve fish habitat. Net incremental benefit from fish production is Tk.237.64 Lakh per year.

Total benefited area is estimated to be 24,000 hectares of land of which about 18,000 hectares are agricultural lands. Net benefited area is estimated to be around 13,000 hectares out of which 8,000 ha land will be facilitated by irrigation. Total Benefited people are around 5 lakh and 39,337 MT additional Crop will be produced per year after implementation of the project.
